Postdoctoral position to investigate restoring of disturbed bone and fat homeostasis by in vivo targeting of skeletal stem cells, at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.



The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM) invites applicants for a 2 years postdoctoral position at the laboratory of Professor Moustapha Kassem and Assistant Professor Abbas Jafari. Job description

The project will employ animal models and state-of-the-art technologies of cell and molecular biology to investigate restoring of disturbed bone and fat homeostasis by in vivo targeting of skeletal stem cells.

Your key tasks:

  • Carry out independent research under supervision
  • Participate in active and collaborative research environments
  • An obligation to conduct some undergraduate teaching and or other types of dissemination related to the project
The project will be supervised by Professor Moustapha Kassem and Assistant Professor Abbas Jafari.

Scientific environment

The project will be conducted in collaboration with and carried out mainly at the laboratory of molecular endocrinology (KMEB), Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Odense University Hospital, Odense.

Required qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD or medical degree with research experience in areas related to the project.

Experience with in vivo mice studies is required, together with the expertise related to cell culture, and molecular biology techniques (e.g. molecular cloning, Western blotting, PCR).
