The DTU Wind Energy Department has a vacancy for a Development Engineer in the Test & Calibrations section.

The section is dynamic group of 14 colleagues who mainly perform measurements for external customers. Typically, we test wind turbines located at our two Test Centers, according to IEC standards. We also carry out lidar calibrations, and collaborate with other sections in the development and application of new measurement techniques and test methods. Besides, we operate 12 stands in our test stations Høvsøre and Østerild, for full-scale tests of prototype wind turbines.

Job description

  • Perform Power Curve and Load Measurements according to IEC standards
  • Perform Lidar Calibrations according to own procedure and IEC standards.
  • Perform data quality control, and data analysis of wind, LIDAR and turbine measurements.
  • Project Manager on commercial projects
  • Close contact and collaboration with the global wind industry
  • Present and debate your work and more generally DTU projects to various international partners.

Qualifications
  • Master or bachelor degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent is needed
  • Good analytical approach and being able to work systematically and well organized in a dynamic team
  • Good programming skills (MatLab or similar)
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of database techniques and data acquisition
  • Preferably experience with measurements on wind turbines or meteorological measurements
  • Preferably experience with lidar measurement technology

The Test & Calibrations section is a newly formed section consisting of 14 people with a wide range of academic and technical backgrounds. We work in very close cooperation with the rest of our department, which employs a staff of more than 240.

Salary and appointment terms

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.

The place of work is Risø Campus in Roskilde.
