The Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University invites applications for a number of positions as post docs and assistant professors.

Different job packages can be offered including fixed term post doc and assistant professorships up to 4 years as well as tenure track assistant professor positions.

The starting date is 1 August 2019 or as soon as possible hereafter subject to mutual agreement.

Job description
The successful applicant is expected to contribute significantly to the department’s research and teaching environment and activities. We expect you to teach and supervise students at Bachelor’s and Master’s level and to carry out research of the highest international standards, which contributes to developing the academic field in question.

Research fields
Applications in all research fields covered by the Department are invited. Major responsibilities include teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Econometrics and Business Analytics, and Logistics and research within those areas.

Your qualifications
To qualify for the positions you must have been awarded the degree of PhD or have acquired equivalent qualifications.

Who we are
The Department of Economics and Business Economics is one of the six departments at Aarhus BSS, one of the four faculties at Aarhus University. Aarhus BSS unites the business and social science-related research fields and brings them closer together to reflect the close relationship between society and the business community. As part of a Top 100 university, Aarhus BSS, and specifically the Department of Economics and Business Economics, has achieved the triple-crown AASCB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditations.

At the Department of Economics and Business Economics, we cover a broad range of academic areas. We aim to conduct research in a broad range of areas within economics and business economics and offer degree programmes at the highest level. The department employs approximately 160 academic staff members and 70 PhD students, and our academic staff is highly international and culturally diverse. We focus on the recruitment of excellent national and international researchers. Our research and degree programmes have a strong international focus. The working language is English, and the majority of courses taught are in English but as previously noted, tenured faculty is expected to learn Danish. The Department hosts a number of research centers and external research funding of activities has top priority.

Terms of employment
The appointment is in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State.
