We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join the GI Epidemiology Section, headed by Professor Tine Jess, at Department of Epidemiology Research, Statens Serum Institut, Copenhagen, Denmark.

At the Department of Epidemiology Research, we pursue these opportunities at the highest level of ambition. In our GI Epidemiology Section, we are now seeking an innovative postdoc to help us explore and take further advantage of these opportunities. Our research environment is young, vibrant and international, with dedicated researchers with backgrounds in medicine, epidemiology, genetics, biology, and statistics. We expect you to be a highly independent, innovative, and ambitious scientist with the following qualifications:
• A PhD or equivalent degree in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, genetic epidemiology or a related field
• An excellent scientific track record
• Experience in obtaining funding
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Terms of employment
The employment will be in accordance with the terms of the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations and the Danish Ministry of Finance’s circular concerning the job structure for scientific staff working with research at sector research institutions.
The successful applicant will be hired as a postdoctoral fellow for an initial 18-months period. The possibility exists for extension after this initial period depending on funding and performance. The position is available from May 1st 2019.
