Part-time lecturer to the IT-University - Enterprise Systems and Information Management.

The ITU seeks candidates for a part-time lecturer position to teach in the Global Business Informatics BSc programme during the autumn 2019. The teaching will be carried out in teams with ITU researchers and teaching assistants. A requirement for the position is that the candidate as a minimum holds a Candidate-/MSc-degree within a relevant field.

The part-time lecturer is expected to contribute to teaching the course Enterprise Systems and Information Management in the 3rd semester of the Global Business Informatics BSc programme.
Enterprise Systems and Information Management is a mandatory 15 ECTS course, taught in English. The course introduces students to Information Management in the context of Enterprise Systems focusing on the key role Information Management plays in shaping business processes and organizational performance. The part-time lecturer will help prepare teaching materials, teach a number of sessions, supervise student projects, and examine students corresponding to approximately 25% of the full course. The teaching would include modelling (e.g. entity relationship diagrams, UML), enterprise systems implementation, and hands-on sessions on one major enterprise system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics).

The ideal candidate should document:

  • At least five year of professional experience in enterprise systems implementation.
  • Intimate familiarity in customizing and using one major enterprise system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Competences in developing and conducting teaching that is well received by students.
  • Ideally teaching experience related to enterprise systems.
The appointed person will be part of the Department of Business IT.

The hiring will be for a period of 1 to 3 years starting 15 August 2019 or as soon as possible hereafter.

Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The position includes teaching and examination.

The applicant will be assessed according to the Appointment Order from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of 25 April 2008.
